Warning…..This is a very small strainer….measurements are stated but only use is for a tub drain and will have to empty it every day or even twice a day….

It does what it’s supposed to do. It’s a simple wire mesh with small holes so it catches even small hairs. I don’t find it hard to clean at all, just rub your finger over the mesh and it picks up whatever it caught. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, is that it does not screw in, it just sits in the drain, but this is a minor point (and some people may like this because it makes it a bit easier to clean since you can pick it up)

Not great, a little small for my drain. I’ll still keep it and use it, but I wish I would have ordered a different type!

We have very old pipes that clog easily and are very expensive to clean. The previous drain cover we had was the plastic type that sits on top of the tub stopper, but all that one did was float around the tub as the water level rose during my shower.
This stays put and catches *everything*. Yes, it requires regular cleaning, but that means that all that stuff didn’t go down your drain (a tissue or piece of toilet paper each morning after showering is all it needs).

This thing gets clogged up and ugly looking pretty quickly. You can clean out the hair relatively easily, but not the soap that starts clogging the mesh.
It does the job, but it’s not very girlfriend compatible.
