My only problem is that the clamp knob on the production stop is much larger than required. In my particular set-up, it’s also in the wrong place: behind the fence. The flip stop attaches with a T-bolt and a small knob that is on top. Easy to get to. But the production stop extrusion isn’t configured to allow this. So the knob is in back. It’s large enough to exert considerable force on the track, something Kreg obviously thought about because there is a cute little swivel that should help prevent marring the track it presses against. But the bolt is about an inch longer than necessary and the knob is four or five times larger than required for the 1/4 turn necessary to keep the stop from moving. I suppose that in most installations this is a non-issue: most fences have plenty of open room behind them. But my fence has a table behind it, with only 3/4 inch clearance for the track and stop fixtures. If I can’t discover a reasonable work-around, I may have to abandon the production stop and order another flipstop (which isn’t a bad idea after all).

(1) If you build your extensions from 3/4″ ply as i did, you’ll have to put a 16th of an inch shim behind the fence on your extensions because the rebate on the track is a full 3/4 of an inch. This is because 3/4 inch ply is actually 11/16″ of an inch in thickness. This is something i only spotted when the tracks were mounted. If you don’t shim the track back the track will stick out a 16th of an inch from the fence and any piece of stock higher than 2-1/4 inches will be 1/16″ of an inch from the fence. This is a safety issue because the blade will pinch on the back of the cut and could cause kickback. Shimming the track is one way around this, using thicker ply and running it through a thicknesser until you have it 3/4″ of an inch thick is another or use solid wood for the fences on your extensions.

(2) The flip stop is prone to lateral movement when heavy stock is pushed against it, i either use the production stop for heavy stock or i hold the flip stop as i push the heavy stock against it.

(3) The kit comes with four 2′ pieces of track, i had to purchase another three pieces of 2′ track for the right hand side of my saw. With hindsight i would have purchased at least one length of 4′ track because no matter how carefully the individual pieces of track are mounted there will always be a slight offset from the end of one piece of track and the start of another. This can be overcome to some extent by placing the mounting screws as near as possible to the end of the track. The two foot pieces of track are better suited to short fences like on a drill pres table.

I then tried it out on my bathroom sink. I have an older style of drain stopper here. This metal stopper plug can be removed. However its raising and lowering motion is controlled by a horizontal bar that is nested a few inches below the drain opening. I was afraid the Sweep once again wouldn’t be able to make it past such an impediment. However it did. But this time, the existence of this horizontal bar circumscribed the movement of the Sweep snake to such an extent that I wasn’t able to maneuver it into or past the P-trap of the pipe under my sink. Therefore once again, the tool proved useless.

The instructions on the Sweep’s package say that if one has this problem gaining access – one should disassemble the pipe at the P-trap and work from there. But that’s exactly why I bought this tool – to AVOID having to disassemble and then re-solder pipe!

Also, the handle of the Sweep is made of rather flimsy plastic and arrived partially broken. The breakage did not materially affect the operation of the unit, so I’ll probably keep it and find some use for this tool someday. But I cannot recommend it. Before you buy it, check to make absolutely sure that your drain will allow access to a snake with a girth actually somewhat over 3/8 of an inch.

The only issue I have is that when you let go of the handle, the water gradually dribbles to a stop, rather than shutting completely down instantly. I find this a bit frustrating, in that I will either be wasting water or my time. That is why I gave it four instead of five stars.

This kit is needed if you have the kind of faucet which is removable; ours has a spray head on a flexible hose instead of a fixed faucet. Hence my need for this device.

I would suggest professional installation, especially if you have to drill a hole in the sink, which was required in my situation. I also had the plumber drill a hole in the counter, so that I could have the Zuvo above the sink rather than under the sink in the (included) bracket.

6 months later, the unit is still working just as well as it did from day one. It’s so wonderful to get rid of filter pitchers from taking up valuable counter and refrigerator real estate!

I only take a way one star because it does not shut off immediately when you let up on the lever… it sort of dribbles to a stop. But I would buy it again if I needed to and I highly recommend it for use with the Zuvo Purator.

This was to replace a noisy unit from another manufacturer. The installation was quick and easy, and the unit seems to be working well – and quietly!

I’m terrified of plumbing so I didn’t use the plastic quick coupler on the pressure side (house water to faucet valve) of the unit. Used a brass compression coupler – so I couldn’t use the little filter supplied. It would be an improvement (IMNSHO) to supply a brass coupler and filter for those who don’t trust plastic.

Otherwise it seems like an excellent unit.

Pros: Cost less than InSink Erator, quick connects are a nice feature (including the small cone filter in the water supply quick connect), this style is sleek and simple looking (Coronado).

Cons: There is a slight delay (1-2 seconds) after you press the lever, the tank is slightly bulky compared to InSink Erator, but not enough to make a big deal over, and it would be nice if it included additional copper tubing with compression nut and sleeve (for valve conncections).

Attaching the bar to the plywood base proved to be trickier than I had imagined. Perhaps it was my own inexperience, but I found it near impossible to prevent some deflection of the bar when it was attached with the provided screws. Because the holes in the bar are counter-sunk, any minute deviation in the screw placement will pull the bar one way or another, resulting in the bar being less-than-perfectly straight. I assumed the set screws could be used to “correct” the error in the bar’s position, but this was not the case. The result is that the jig slides smoothly for most of its travel, but binds in other places. Be sure that you insert the set-screws so that the end WITHOUT the hex-key slot contacts the saw’s miter slot or you will destroy the hex-key hole and render the screw useless.

I think someone with better skills and more patience could probably get better results. I would still recommend this product for anyone looking to expand their saw’s capabilities.

This installed very easily. I would encourage you to read the installation manual, if you are doing this, rather than just assuming you know how to install a faucet.

You have the ability to configure it for hot/cold on coming ni either side which was a nice feature.

It was very easy to get the scald guard adjusted right for me, contrary to a previous review. It is certainly more complicated than a faucet that just has individual on/off valves for the hot and cold line. But you can adjust the stop for the scald guard with a screwdriver and repositioning it in about 2 minutes.

The fact that it adjusts to manage the temperature makes for the fastest shower-up-to-temp time I have experienced. In the mornings, I just turn it on, wait and the shower is up to temp much faster than I am used to. I think the reason is that the faucet automatically goes full-hot until it starts getting hot water and then manages the hot/cold flow to keep the temperature stable. My previous shower faucet required continuous adjustement for the first several minutes of a shower.

The only down side is that I put two of these in the same shower, so the water comes at you from both sides (with indivudal temp control). Now I find we stay in the shower too long. But I don’t think I can blame that on the faucet.

I settled on Delta because installation costs a lot more than the unit itself. Delta seems to have standardized on this base for most of their units and it is pretty easy to find replacement parts. My plumber seemed pleased; he said he had been trained on Delta fixtures and had no trouble getting it installed.

It’s been in for 4 months and I haven’t had any problems with it. When eventually it does leak/fail it should be possible to fix without breaking open the wall again. Where plumbing’s concerned, that’s the best I can hope for.

The plumber said that Kohler uses a poorly designed / constructed connections compared to those used by Moen and Delta. I tend to agree. It looks like something that could be corrected with a $2 factory fix.

This was a DIY project for me and I really lucked out. The product that shipped was DLRSQ3322. The “Q” means that it has the Quick clip system. This ended up being the only mounting solution (other than using glue) that would work. It happened to be dumb luck that it what I got. (I bought it at [...]). With the sink in place, it is impossible for me to use a screwdriver from underneath to secure it. With the quick clip system, you nail these grooved brackets on the inside of the sink opening. The sink has these teeth that grab onto the grooves. All you need to do is put a bead of silicone on the sink and push down (hard). It handles uneven surfaces pretty well.

There were a couple of issues that bugged me. First, the box was dropped at some point and one corner was severely bent (I was able to straighten out with a wrench). Not the way to package an expensive sink like this. Secondly, there wasn’t any literature or instructions whatsoever in the box. Had to rely on the Elkay website.

The undercoating of the sink is so thin, I can’t see what the point of it is. It doesn’t deaden any sounds.

Overall, this sink is exactly what we were looking for and the quick clip system is very good for mounting in trick situations.

The operating lever on the Grohe is longer and positioned in the center of the faucet, so when you pushd the lever back to get hot water, it would touch the tile at the full hot setting. With the granite being deeper, this lever would not be able to go to full hot because the granite would block the lever! Not a good thing!

The Kohler eliminates this problem in two ways: First, the lever is shorter and therefore pushing it towards the rear does not extend the lever as far back and second, the valve and handle are towards the front of the faucet rather than centered with it. This means that the lever barely exceeds the rear of the faucet by 1/2″ at full hot where the Grohe requires almost 3 1/2″ of clearance for the handle to reach full hot position!

Grohe makes an excellent faucet and this is in no way a criticism of their mechanical, cosmetic or functional quality. But if you have any restrictions on space, especially behind the faucet where the lever throw can be critical, this Kohler will deliver the style and quality while fitting in much tighter spots!

Oh, and the design is really nicely functional, too. Put a pasta pot under this without problem – both the extended height and reach make filling such oversized pots and pans a snap!

Yes, you DO need to dig a hole in the ground and securely set this thing in place — after all, it’s going be holding 20, 30, or 40 pounds or more of hose and you need it to be stable.

Other models I’ve owned have featured a horizontal input connection, which has put a strain in the supply hose (the one coming from your spigot or other water source. Typically, these hose stands are backed up against a wall, and you end up having to permanently bend your supply hose to accommodate the horizontal input and squeeze it in place. This eventually leads to failure, and puts undue sideways pressure on the input in the back of the stand.

THIS model has a 90-degree input connection, and points DOWNWARD — utterly brilliant! Your supply hose lays on the ground, and easily and naturally turns upwards to connect to the back of the hose stand. No awkwardly-bent connections, no strain, etc. What a great idea!

This product appears to be all steel and brass, and gives the impression that it’ll last a long, long time.

Worth every penny of the asking price, I recommend this stand without reservation!

Finally, the copper tubes that come out and are meant to be hooked up to the water lines are really really really soft and fragile. They come with a “Don’t bend these!” warning label. Yeah so guess what? I bent one when trying as hard as I could to NOT bend them as I was screwing the water connection hoses on. No I didn’t overtorque it and twist the whole pipe, all I did was hit one of the tubes with the wrench as I was just starting to screw the tube on. It deformed instantly.

Now this is totally my fault and I should have been even more careful. Except you see I took the wrench and then purposely beat the old faucet’s copper tubes to see if I could dent those. I couldn’t. The tubes on the old Moen faucet were much thicker copper and I couldn’t bend them or deform them at all.

1. you have infinite temperature AND flow adjustment in the handle. This means you can soften the stream and have NO SPLASHING.

2.you may adjust the flow rate within the base of the housing with an allen wrench and NO SPLASHING as flow will be restricted at max pull out .

3. you may have a license and even use it to drive a car, but I hope if you can’t figure out the above two points then you are nowhere near me on the roads as a car has many more complex operations than this simple elegant infinitely adjustable faucet. Please, if you can’t figure out how to prevent splashing then check yourself into a mentally challenged facility; the streets and kitchens and sinks of American will be that much safer.

We called the customer service line to learn there is no way to adjust the inner body to fix the problem. They did offer to send two new bodies, but it’s a pain to reinstall because there’s no way to know whether the new ones will be better aligned. Second problem with the faucet is at the spout. Each time I turn it on, there’s a stray stream of water, sometimes it’s spits out bits of water towards the left, sometimes there’s a small stream to the right. I will soak the aerator in a vinegar solution to see if it fixes the problem. Otherwise, Price Pfister offered to send me another aerator.

The strange thing is that the second faucet we installed seems perfectly fine. The knobs and base rings align fine and the water streams out like any other faucet. I like the finish and the height of the faucet head over the sink. It looks great with our new granite counters.

It’s peculiar that in the same order we could have a normal faucet and one with so many different issues. At least I’ve been satisfied with the manufacturer’s response to my complaints. My plumber says this brand is okay but not the best. He truly believe you get what you pay for when it comes to faucets.

Some have said the sprayer is plastic – that is not true, it is heavy duty metal. However, the base the sprayer sits on is metal coated plastic, and the tube leading down the sink is plastic. But I found this is actually a good thing, since if it were metal, the tube would definitely scrape against the hose and wear it out faster. You’ll see what I mean when you install the sprayer.

One note – because we have a 4 hole sink, a dish washer vent on one side of the faucet, a water filter faucet on the other side, and the sprayer – all the holes being close together, there was no room to keep the faucet on/off handle on the side, as it is pictured. So we installed it with the handle facing out. I would have preferred it on the side – but it still looks just fine being in the front. But wanted to mention it to any who might have the same situation.

I’ve shopped for comparable faucets priced at $300 bucks or more, so I am very happy with this purchase.

Our sink was originally a four-hole with the fourth on the right side for a sprayer. When we replaced the main faucet, it came with a pull-out sprayer function, so the fourth hole was unused (and covered). This was a perfect replacement for a sprayer and it fit in the same place.

Note that it may be obvious to some, but it wasn’t to me: The knob points to the side when it is off, and down when it is on. I initially purchased assuming the opposite, or that it was a lift-style lever.

The prettiest Lakeland sink was a black 33 x 22 single bowl, which I ordered with the optional drop-in metal grille. As an undermount with granite, it looks fantastic, and all for under $400.

Very easy to clean, very durable. Plus the Americast material is very light and easy to install–only 35 pounds for the largest single bowl sink available anywhere at any price.

If you leave the faucet on, and, it freezes, it is likely that the top of this manifold will pop. It is designed to do this. If you leave it on your faucet during a deep freeze, and, leave the faucet on, either the top of this will pop, or, your pipes will pop. Better the manifold should pop than the pipes behind the wall.

I’ve used this for a couple of months on a farm and ranch “quit freeze” (I’ll upload a picture if I have the time).

It has worked well. It is a solid, quality piece of cast brass (low-tin bronze), machined to provide the required delivery at each faucet head. I use it, without trouble in warmer weather (here in the mountains ANYTHING above freezing is “warmer weather”) for watering my garden around my spa. It permits a lot of flexibility in providing water through attachments that I attach and detach with the Orbit quick couples. Orbit Lawn & Garden Brass Hose Quick Connect Set #58117

With the time savings provided by having more than one hose and attachment available at the turn of a valve, I can afford the time to nurture my garden. Otherwise, I would be too busy screwing on attachments and hoses to get much watering done.

I thought it may just need a new washer as the old one looked a little worn. I replaced the washer and the problem still remained.

As for freezing temperatures…..I was living in charleston, sc. Not an area that gets freezing weather. As the temp dropped I removed the manifold and put it on a shelf. (no point in having it out when your grass is dormant) I am going to see about getting a gilmore one as well for the lifetime warranty. not sure why this one doesnt have one….

2) the gray plastic piece that fits under the faucet (you put it under the faucet then put plumbers’ putty under that)–maybe I’m doing it wrong, but this is still visible beneath the faucet. It’s gray plastic, it doesn’t look like the brass faucet, it’s a tad cheap. The prior faucet (the one I removed to install this) also had a similar part but I don’t remember noticing it at all until I was taking the old faucet off. It looks fine but I would prefer not to see the plastic part under my faucet.

We had an expensive Price-Pfister faucet that kept leaking and needed to be replaced. Their customer service was excellent as they kept sending replacement parts but it got to be a bit much. We looked around and did not want to spend over $100 for another faucet since we also had to factor in the cost of a plumber for installation.

We ran across this faucet and quickly agreed it was a steal. It looked very elegant, especially considering the price. There are a few cheaper choices but they looked cheap too. It boasted EZ installation so we decided to give it a try. The instructions provided are excellent and we had the faucet connected under 30 minutes. There is a website listed for video instructions as well. I really cannot believe how easy this was to install! Just note that you will need to additionally purchase plumber’s putty (to adhere faucet to sink), connection hose(s) to your water pipe and maybe teflon tape for a better connection – everything else is included. We were a little afraid of all the plastic pieces but it works great. There are no leaks.

I highly recommend this faucet set. It looks great! We installed a whole new vanity unit which might have made it easier but don’t be afraid to try it yourself, it is much easier then it looks.

The stainless steel finish on the product is quite nice and the plastic pull-handle matches perfectly (almost no faucets I know of have metal pull-handles).

Installation was surprisingly easy. It required only a wrench or two to tighten water couplings and the included tool to tighten the base to the counter top.

The faucet has an impressive look and it definitely “upgraded” the appearance of our kitchen sink.

There are negatives. And given the number of other stylish faucets out there, the negatives cause me to give this faucet a 2 star rating.

First for the negatives, the spring-loaded pull handle hose is very difficult to pull out of the faucet base and actually use. Likewise, it does not feed smoothly back into the handle. I ended up removing the confounded spring and installing a large metal clamp weight onto the hose. This helped a great deal.

Second, the pull handle doesn’t easily slide the last inch back into the base but instead has to be pushed into the base.

Third, the “spray” function on the pull handle is not a locking spray function. So long as you hold down the plastic button, the water will come out in a spray pattern. But as soon as you let go of the button, it goes back to a normal aerated stream. I much prefer pull handles with a locking spray such as the one on my old Hamat.

Fourth, because the sink head sprays water at a direct perpendicular to the sink base, water splatters up very high and all over the counter and faucet base itself. My old Hamat had about a 15 degree angle and thus the water splatter was able to stay contained within the sink. This means the base of my faucet is always covered with water spots unless I wipe it down after every use.

Fifth, the location of the faucet lever on the right side of the product is not nearly as convenient as the less stylish placement on top of a faucet. You can only easily reach it with your right hand and if the faucet is pointed to the right, it impedes your access to the handle.

In this case, style wins over function and we’re keeping this faucet. But I think there are better choices in this price range.

The instructions are simple and easy enough to follow. Medium level of handyman skill is desirable, this is not too challenging. I found that unlike many other projects, you should fully tighten the first of screws when installing the hinges. I used a ratchet set fitted with a phillips head bit to get the needed twist onto the screws in the relatively tight spaces, and that worked well. I suggest caution if you apply power tools, the screws can quickly strip, even with a hand screwdriver. Predrilling is really required to do this project. Also, you DON’T need to fully tighten the tray to the faceplate. You can leave it loose enough to remove and be able to better clean it when desired, yet still tight enough to keep your items secure.

I bought these from Lowe’s for about $15, and was surprised to find TWO Sets of Hinges inside. I had been looking to buy the hinges themselves, and create a custom shelf with something. But the double set of hinges makes this a good buy. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find simple trays alone anywhere, so I had to get a whole new set for my other sink front tip out drawer. That is why I gave only a 4 star rating — Rev a Shelf should offer the trays themselves for a low price, and the hinges too. None of the stores I checked carried those items. Also, I was disappointed that both of my hinges came ONE SCREW SHORT, so I had to search thru my junk drawers in the garage to find replacements.

I suggest, start looking into the best water purifiers, like REVERSE-OSMOSIS, or OZONIZATION.

Now, ozonization is the absolutely BEST.

SPRING WATER from known sources NO DOUBT better than both brita and pur, as ANY spring water will never have any CHLORINE and NO FLUORIDE, because SPRING WATER is from underground sources.

Another option is DISTILLED WATER, which is also purified tap water: it’s has NOTHING, that’s what water is supposed to be.

Distilled water can also be bought in bottles, or made your own. Just search here on amazon…

so, to sum up:

1.OZONIZATION….produces purest water…BEST CHOICE!

2.SpringWater Ozonated….filtered, no chlorine, no aluminum…mostly in plastic bottles……OK!

3.Distilled Water…..purest water, nothing in it…..OK!

4.Reverse Osmosis Filter……quite expensive, but does the job.

I did have to take away a star. For some reason, it just seems really overly loud. Especially in the middle range, the faucet roars as loudly as any other faucet does at full-on.

Also, I had originally bought two of these, one for each of my bathrooms; however, one sink had the center hole smaller than the rest, so I was unable to get the pipe fittings through (since this is really a single-hole design that can cover up the extra side holes). I had to return it.

One thing not listed in Amazon’s description is that the filter is a 300 gallon filter. The owner’s manual states this: “Kff-300 Series models will last for 300 gallons or up to 12 months assuming a daily usage of 3 1/4 quarts of filtered water.” Whether it lasts a year or not depends on how much water you use per day.

If you happen to have a shallower kitchen sink and are looking for a compact faucet sprayer, I think you’ve found it. This one is very stylish and durable: I still can’t tell for sure whether the chrome ring above the sprayer is metal or plastic (that’s a compliment), and it is operating just as well six months after I bought it with no leaks or decreased functionality.

It definitely cuts 1-2 inches in length off the bottom versus other available models — a significant difference for a shallow sink when plates stack up or with tall glasses. The spray activation (by pulling down on the nozzle) is dependable and solid, as is its automatic return to the flow position when I turn off the water (which I like because I always know it will be in “flow” when I turn on the faucet).

It looks great on stainless steel fixtures (chrome matches perfectly) in a stainless steel sink.

I am knocking off one star because it doesn’t swivel quite far enough to reach e.v.e.r.y part of my sink and because the sprayer kicks up water off plates a little t-o-o easily (the sprayer pops back before you can turn the water down low enough to prevent splashing sometimes).

The saw set up easily, came together in about 3 hours, table was flat, blade tracked perfectly and all in all was easy to set up.

After fooling around with it, did some 10″ resawing, came out nice, flat, comes with good blade. Did the trick just out of the box. It should take some time to break in, the saw is very powerful 3hp cuts right through anything. Really nice, like all the features, very well made, great power switch, wish all my Jet saws had this type. With a HTC mobile base, moves around the shop easily and does what I need it to do, cut down turning stock and resawing big 10-12″planks. Good going jet and amazon, could not beat the free shipping!

After installing a high quality blade and setting up the saw we were disappointed the machine had a bad vibration. It turns out there was severe runout in the upper wheel, measured with a dial indicator to be more than 0.125″. Others here have reported the same problem, NO GOOD.

We thought we’d get around to calling Jet to swap the bad wheel for a new one, but work and other projects got in the way are. We got busy using our other tools instead. The machine sat collecting dust and unused for a while…

Until a nice batch of 12/4 x 8″ to 10″ cherry came through our shop. With a new 3/4″ 3 tpi blade we tuned and fired up the Jet but only after a few cuts the motor smoked and tripped the breaker. We took it apart to find the windings fried. Unfortunately the cheap Taiwan motor has NO THERMAL PROTECTION!!!

It took us more than 6 calls and emails with pictures and measurements to Jet customer service to illicit a response. Unfortunately the machine was out of warranty (this was before the 5 year warranty). Needless to say they were ueseless and it would cost us over $500 for a new motor and wheel to fix the machine.

The verdict: D-N-R. We have placed our order for a new Grizzly machine and will be posting this steaming pile for sale on flEa-Bay. Jet has some major quality issues to resolve before we would buy another machine from them for our shop.

This trim kit worked beautifully for us since we did not want to, or need to replace the shower valve and parts behind the tile and wall. We did want to update the look of the shower/tub faucet to go along with our new vanity, sink and faucet (new faucet is in brushed chrome).

I would not hesitate to recommend the Danco trim kits to anyone!

My favorite feature of this faucet is also my least favorite — if that makes any sense at all. To change the faucet to a spray, you twist the end until it clicks. It goes from spray/shower to stream and back again. The nice thing about this is that when it is in spray mode, you don’t need certain amount of pressure to maintain the spray as you do with other faucet models. I like that. There is a trade-off though. It is more difficult to switch to spray and the clicking action could be more precise. That is my only fault with this faucet.

The soap pump works great. The single-handle is nice quality and also works great. The faucet itself also pulls out to be used as a sprayer as is typical of most faucets today. It works well.

All in all, I’m very pleased with our decision. The price was worth it I think. This was one of the nicest faucets we found in this price range.

One problem – a small cover cap for one of the faucet handles was missing. It is a cosmetic item which would not affect the operation of the unit. Nevertheless, since this was a complete overhaul of my bathroom and I insisted that everything be complete. When I contacted Amazon about this oversight, I was advised that they (Amazon) did not supply missing or replacement parts, and I was advised to contact American Standard directly.

Upon approaching American Standard, I was disappointed to find that they offered absolutely NO online input from the customer. Instead, I was left with two modes of communication: phone and snail mail.

The phone option was a nightmare, as the lines were open roughly eight hours a day M-F. Six times and in vain, I attempted to contact them via their 800 number and in each instance was put on hold for roughly thirty minutes. In each instance I got disappointed and hung up.

Fortunately, the snail mail route ultimately proved successful, but not without problems. The first communication somehow got lost in the mail shuffle and after a month of no response, I sent them another letter, only this time with a bright colored “Urgent Message” sticker on the envelope. Within a few days I received a huge manila envelope with long sought after faucet cover cap.

This rather unpleasant experience has made me reluctant about purchasing any more American Standard products, as most plumbing supply outfits refuse to sell them or even their parts. A major overhaul in American Standard’s customer service is needed if they are to compete with other plumbing giants!

It does very well at both ripping and crosscuts.

The crosscuts I’ve made show little or no saw tooth marks and no tearout on plywood.

Rip cuts are easy and very smooth.

I’ll say it again, this is a great blade at a great price.

I have made additional supports, stops, a coping saw holder, a table to hold a cut list etc. I hold the miter saw to the stand with 1/4-20 bolts and wing nuts. It can be set up in under a minute The legs do chew up the 2×6 over time, I replace mine every 6 to 12 months. I will sometimes set up in a yard. If the ground has a slope, you can mount the legs at an angle to level the stand.

It is a heavy duty well made stand. Our company has 4 of them and I don’t think we have ever broke a single part. We have a roller that someone cut halfway though with a circular saw and it still works fine. The one I use survived a fire and the garage falling on it.

I would definitely buy this again but am pretty sure I won’t need to.

Lots of people have to consider the 27″ or the 35″ kit. I did alot of thinking about how high I wanted the saw before purchasing the taller size. I have used a 14′ 2×6 as the crossmember for the last 10 months. I am 5′8″ with a 30″ inseam, and I have not once thought about the saw’s height with this setup – it has been perfect. The material is right there, safely in front of you, with no hunching over. My 5′7″ with 28″ inseam 76 year old father put a ton of time on this saw/stand and prefers the 35″ height too. At this point I couldn’t imagine using the 27″ work center, by back is tired enough as it is. I’ve run pretty much every material through the saw, including all sizes of lumber, OSB, PVC, HardiPlank, trim, etc., and never had a negative thought about the final saw height with the 35″ legs and 2×6 crossmember. I do have the 27″ legs also, and there is no point in using them for the saw stand – 35″ is the way to go.

-I use a simple 24″ pipe clamp mounted vertically as a stop for multiple cuts of the same length, very adjustable that way.

-The saw stand base brackets mount a little loose on the 2×6 dimension lumber, so I just shimmed the clamps tight with two old 7-1/4″ non-carbide framer blades, and tapped them alongside the lumber so that the clamps actually tighten against the blade metal. Takes alot of the wiggle out because the clamps will normally just dig into the crossmember and never get truly tight. Any thin metal will work to make this shim.

-If your saw is heavy, as is mine, there will be some flex to the assembly as the saw head slides on the track and the balance shifts toward you. It is a very slight flex and doesn’t bother me.

-The extra roller guide I bought is handy to keep one roller on one side and two on the other side. Much less moving of rollers around.

-Two people can move the stand/saw combo fairly easily. Sliding it will tweak the legs as they grab on subfloor, especially with a heavy saw. Doesn’t seem to cause permanent damage, but probably not good to drag it around. Would slide fine on concrete though.

-If no help is available and the stand needs to be moved a ways, I just unmount the saw base and shift operations.

-The legs clamp to the lumber like nobody’s business. Get one positioned at the correct angle, use your feet to kick the legs apart to tighten to the lumber, then lightly step on the crossways bracket to snap them into full lock. Then do the same for the other. Takes a little practice, but in the end I can get them on quickly and securely. The teeth dig in tight and there is no way these legs will come off unless you want them to. I read about someone complaining about loose legs: with standard dimensional lumber this just isn’t possible. I think maybe he didn’t step on the cross-ways hinge to fully tighten and lock them. They are rock-solid if mounted properly.

-During the siding phase of construction, the work center stayed outside in cold and occasional showers. I was initally concerned about moisture ruining the base, but it held up well. We bungeed a tarp over the saw and work center and all was fine. Moisture would eventually cause a problem though, if left exposed. If you’re breaking this down every night and throwing the parts into a truck – the saw base will need to be protected from moisture during travel. Of course it would be quite simple to make a new base and mount the bracket assembly on it.

-For saw weight, I’m pretty much using worst case scenario with the Milwaukee 12″ SCMS. It is a beast and works fine on this stand, just a bit of flex as mentioned.

-On occasion I used a seperate 35″ Trojan sawhorse* that I c-clamed to the work center 2×6 to provide extra long work support. By c-clamping the work center lumber to the saw horse lumber, I was able to mount the previously mentioned pipe clamp on the sawhorse section to make multiple very long cuts possible. I also have an outfeed roller stand for quick support of long-lengths.

-Experiment with the 2×6 lumber length and leg location to get the best performance, reduce some flex, and give more room for moving around the rollers. Watch the balance. The saw doesn’t necessarily have to be centered on the 2×6 and can be positioned off center. The instructions tell you what Trojan wants you to do, but common sense allows for variance. With a long enough 2×6 and some thought we’ve set up the stand to handle both left and right feeds without much roller moving. You’ll need some elbow room at the site to do this.

*I have enough extra Trojan legs to build two 35″ saw horses with 2×6 lumber and two 27″ sawhorses with 2×8 lumber. You can use different lumber to obtain different heights – handy. Each height has had its own uses and I’m more than pleased with the performance. Simple, extremely strong, and very reliable. These things will hold a pile of weight and haven’t met their match yet – and doubt they will.

The whole Trojan line of workcenters/sawhorse legs are strong, versatile, very portable, and the cat’s meow as far as I’m concerned. Excellent buy, expecially if you catch the work center on sale for 115-120. I’ve never noticed the sawhorse legs move to a sale price, but the 35″ work center definitely did.

SECONDLY-The laser guide which I really did not expect too well since it was “free”. was GREAT. Easy to install-just replace the o/s washer that comes on the dewalt and VOILA, instant Norm Abrams, I didn’t even have to adjust the thing and yes, you can see it in direct sunlight!!

BUY ONE, OR 2 OR 3. THe laser ALONE at this price is worth it!!!

I installed it, and it works fine, but I honestly don’t expect it to last inside of 5 years. If you think products manufactured in China are low quality, Mexico is ten times worse. In fact, American Standard should change their name to “Mexican Standard.” I am not singling out American Standard in favor of other brands, though some brands are in fact better. But this applies to American owned and controlled companies in general. If they want to build and sell junk, so be it. If they want to have integrity then they should build better products. But don’t think a consumer like myself doesn’t notice when you cut corners or send jobs over the border. You are not being competitive, you are being greedy. And someday that greed will catch up to you like rest of the American Economy. Quality and value: Two missing components from the majority of all American companies. The truth hurts as I am an American and a beneficiary of this trend as a consumer.

From what I have read, lubricating the blade about every 5 cuts with WD40 is very important. I would have liked to see more info on this — no user instructions come with the blade — perhaps a suggestion as to how often to lubricate in linear feet of cut. Also, be sure you shield the blade the first time you start the saw after applying the WD40 — it does fly!

Admittedly, I had never cut aluminum before, so these issues might not be a problem for a more experienced user. But once solved, the cuts are excellent, and that’s the important thing.

There are a few things you should know. First, this kitchen faucet comes in a plastic bag (Amazon shipped it in a box of course). Apparently this model is usually sold by the case directly to building contractors and plumbers. Not the general public. Second, since it is generally not sold directly to the public, it does not come with a fastening tool that usually comes with a retail version kitchen faucet. This was not a problem for me, but it may be hard for some people to install this kitchen faucet without this tool. Finally, the spray hose attaches to the faucet via a snap in connector. I have never used this type of connector before. Therefore, I have no idea how reliable it is.

Overall, I am very pleased with this kitchen faucet.

The beauty of this faucet is its particualr stream. Normal faucet pours down the water to the hand with pressure. It makes sometimes uncomfortable, but this one is just like touching the stream. Since the water comes from the ceramic channel, I don’t feel any pressure on my hand at all. It makes me really feels good in addition to the look.

Faucet is also made of good materials, so looks real elegant too. So far all my family is very pleased with the purchase.
